INSTRUCTIONS
There are 3 things required from you throughout your internship:
1. Internship Weekly Log - you need to fill this up on a daily basis, every week and get your company supervisor to sign it off as a form of verification approval.
2. Appraisal Form - this is the final evaluation of your placement from your company supervisor. ONLY HAND THIS TO YOUR SUPERVISOR 2-3 WEEKS BEFORE YOU FINISH. Your supervisor then can either pass it back to you to submit it or email it to me (if they do not want you to see their evaluation of you).
3. Internship Report - I am sharing 2 best report samples in the files section. Have a look and follow the Table of Content on the sample.
Project 01: Social Media Content Production
Project Reflection
This project involved the ongoing production of social media content for the company, including graphics, short videos, and promotional posts. Through this task, I learned how to conceptualise content that is visually engaging while aligning with brand identity and platform requirements. Regularly scheduling and formatting content helped me understand the importance of consistency in visual composition and messaging across different social media channels.
By applying entertainment design principles from my Creative Media studies, I was able to create interactive and visually appealing content that supports the brand’s narrative. This project strengthened my practical skills in digital design, visual storytelling, and content planning, while also giving me hands-on experience in managing a content workflow and understanding audience engagement in a professional media environment.
Project 02: Video Editing
Project Reflection
In this project, I edited multiple short-form videos for different social media platforms based on the company’s brand guidelines. Each video was tailored to suit platform-specific formats and audience behaviour while maintaining consistent visual style and branding.
Through this process, I learned how video content must be structured carefully to communicate messages clearly within a limited time frame. This project enhanced my technical skills in video editing and improved my understanding of pacing, transitions, and visual consistency across digital platforms.
Project 03: Digital Brand Consistency
Project Reflection
This project focused on ensuring a consistent and recognisable brand identity across several online platforms managed by the company. My role involved applying brand elements such as logos, colours, and layouts consistently while allowing each platform to maintain its own identity.
Through this task, I learned the importance of brand consistency in building trust and recognition among audiences. I also developed a stronger attention to detail and a clearer understanding of how cohesive branding strengthens a company’s digital presence.
Project 04: Grab Campaign – Educational Visuals
Project Reflection
As part of the Grab campaign, I assisted in designing educational visuals for the PayLater by Grab feature. These teaching graphics were created to guide users through the payment process, including checkout steps, promotion code usage, and understanding campaign benefits such as discounts, reward points, and purchase protection.
This project helped me understand how design can be used as an educational tool to simplify complex information. I learned how clear layouts, icons, and step-by-step visuals can improve user understanding and engagement while supporting marketing objectives.
Project 05: iFood Event Branding
Project Reflection
For the iFoodExpo project, I assisted in developing event branding through visual concepts, social media content, and layout designs. The content was formatted specifically for social media platforms to ensure visual consistency, clear messaging, and a strong brand presence.
Through this project, I gained insight into how event branding contributes to audience engagement and event visibility. I learned how well-structured layouts and consistent visual elements can effectively communicate key event information and strengthen brand presence across digital platforms.
OVERALL REFLECTION ON THE INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
Growth begins with self-awareness—understanding our own strengths, limitations, and the choices we make along the way. Throughout life, we are constantly presented with opportunities, and it is up to us whether we choose to embrace them or create new ones ourselves. An internship is one such opportunity, where theory meets practice and where perseverance, adaptability, and courage are truly put to the test.
My 17-week internship at Talentify Media Sdn Bhd was a meaningful and transformative experience that allowed me to apply my academic knowledge in a real-world professional setting. Throughout the internship, I was exposed to various aspects of digital content creation, including social media content production, video editing, branding consistency, and campaign-based design. Each project contributed to my technical growth and strengthened my understanding of how creative media functions within a fast-paced industry.
On a technical level, I improved my skills in content design, video editing, and digital branding. I learned how effective content must be purposeful, audience-focused, and aligned with brand objectives. On a professional level, I developed essential soft skills such as time management, communication, teamwork, and initiative. Working in a dynamic media environment taught me to adapt quickly, accept feedback constructively, and take responsibility for my work from concept to execution.
Overall, this internship reinforced my passion for creative media and content creation. It not only enhanced my technical abilities but also shaped my professional mindset and confidence. I am grateful for the guidance provided by my supervisors and the opportunity to contribute to real projects at Talentify Media. The knowledge and experience gained during these 17 weeks will continue to influence my creative journey and future career development.
